When in Rome...

This past weekend, we took our last group trip to Rome. It was incredible!!! I wish our university was based in Rome instead of Florence. Yah, it was that amazing. We saw so many things that I can't even begin to tell you everything we went to see. I will only hit on the highlights.

We took a really early train on Thursday morning and then went touring for the rest of the day. Needless to say, I was incredibly tired. Thursday, we saw the catacombs, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and so much more. We ended our day of touring at the Spanish Steps and a group of us went to Hard Rock for dinner. This late in the semester, we are all craving American food like crazy! We also saw the Trevi Fountain and it was spectular! Seriously, we sat there for about an hour just staring at this fountain.

Friday, we toured all day long. The only thing that I remember seeing is many of the things in the Roman Forum or what used to be the Roman Forum. We didn't do anything except eat dinner that night.

Saturday was the best day...well, it ranks up there with Sunday. We went to see the Vatican Museum...which means SISTINE CHAPEL!!!!! Really, I sat there and stared at the thing for about 30 minutes just trying to take it all in.

Sunday, I stood inside the COLOSSEUM!!!!!! It was the most amazing thing ever! I don't even know how to describe the feelings I was having while standing inside the colosseum. I was definitely in awe!

The end of the semester is turning out to be so much better than the beginning to middle of the semester. I have been hanging out with different people and they aren't as judgmental. A few days ago (should have done this a lot sooner), I put away my fear of people caring about what I think, I just decided to love on people and talk more. It has really been working great wonders!

Love!
